據 Reuters 報導，歐盟不鼓勵把中資5G設備生產商列為威脅。但同時出聲明指使用非歐盟地區生產的5G設備、特別是有國家級支持的，很有可能有安全問題。
同時報告指出，不應依賴單一設備供應商，以免在發生事故(安全問題或政治問題)時沒有後備方案。
而Nokia 發言人說”5G security requires that networks are built leveraging the most advanced security features, selecting vendors that are trustworthy and transparent”
其實歐盟已有Nokia 及Ericsson，何必因為成本問題而增加風險呢。
